Hey There!
Hi, I’m Amanda. A mom of two, an Interior Designer, and a Certified Color Expert with a passion for creating spaces that feel as good as they look. I chose this path not only to pursue a career I love, but also to build a life that supports my family and allows me to serve others through design. My approach is rooted in purpose and heart. I believe that a well-designed home can uplift your daily life, improve well-being, and reflect who you truly are. Each project is a personal journey; a chance to blend beauty with function, tell your story through design, and create a space that inspires, comforts, and feels uniquely yours.
All About Me
My story begins with my grandmother. She wanted to be an interior designer but, back then, she would have had to go to school in New York. Her parents wouldn't let her go so She opened an indoor plant store instead. she would drive a van from Michigan to Florida to get tropical plants to sell in her store. She was always passionate about interior design and my mom grew up learning from her. When I was a kid, my mom was always adding or removing wallpaper, painting, and rearranging furniture. there was always a new project she wanted to do to the house and i was there by her side tearing off wallpaper or shopping for new hand towels to match the new paint color in the bathroom. fast forward to when i went to college, it was during the recession and i lived in a small michigan town. no one was spending money on interior designers. so i went the safe route and got a degree in cell and molecular biology and spent the first decade of my career working in quality assurance for pharmaceutical and biotech companies. i have a keen eye for details and accuracy as a result. after having my babies, i took a step back from the corporate world to focus on raising my family. now that the little ones are in school, i decided that it was time to follow my passion and dream to help people love their homes. And so, i became a certified color expert and ac home designs was born. i'm honored to be able to have this opportunity and i know my grandmother would be proud to see how her love of design has influenced my life.
